Of the 24 semifinalists who made the cut on "American Idol" on Wednesday, one of the faces is probably familiar to Branson residents and tourists.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jason Yeager, now one of the Top 24 on Fox's ever-popular reality show, was one of the performers in Country Tonite, an ever-popular musical show in Branson. Yeager is from Grand Prairie, Texas, and was brought to Branson by Starlite Entertainment to join the Country Tonite cast.
"Jason's one of the best male vocalists Branson's ever had," said Starlite Entertainment sales manager Chris Dodson. "He's very down-to-earth, a nice guy on and off stage."
Dodson said that he hasn't seen Yeager on "Idol" yet, but has high hopes. "He's very versatile. I think he'll do good. He knows how to work it. He's a good kid and I wish him the best."
