Crashes injure five people in the Tri-Lakes Area

One person was injured in a four-vehicle crash Monday evening north of Branson, the Missouri State Highway Patrol has reported.
According to the patrol’s report, at 5:30 p.m., a 1999 Ford, driven by Glenneda L. Sulgrove, 52, of Forsyth, was eastbound on F Highway, five miles north of Branson, when Sulgrove struck the rear of a stopped 2001 Mitsubishi, driven by Christine N. Taylor, 22, of Lampe. Taylor’s vehicle then struck an eastbound 1995 Cadillac, driven by Tammy E. Sanders, 47, of Rockaway Beach, which then struck a 2005 Chrysler, driven by Kathleen Cook, 45, of Taneyville, the patrol reported.
Taylor suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to Skaggs Regional Medical Center in Branson, according to the highway patrol.
A Reeds Spring man was injured Monday morning when he swerved to miss a deer, the patrol has reported.
At 7 a.m. Monday, Jeffery C. Schofield, 35, was driving a 2000 Mercury eastbound on Missouri 248, five miles northwest of Branson, when Schofield swerved to avoid a deer, according to the patrol. Schofield’s vehicle left the roadway, struck a sign and a tree, the patrol reported.
Schofield suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported to Cox Medical Center-South in Springfield, the patrol reported.
On Sunday afternoon, a Forsyth woman was injured in a crash on Forsyth-Taneyville Road, one-half mile northeast of Forsyth, the highway patrol has reported.
At 2:30 p.m., Carla J. Delcour, 43, of Forsyth, was driving a 1993 Chevrolet pickup northbound when the pickup ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree, according to the patrol’s report.
Delcour suffered minor injuries in the crash and was transported by ambulance to Skaggs, the patrol reported.
Shortly before noon Sunday, two women were injured in a one-vehicle crash east of Forsyth, the highway patrol has reported.
At 11:40 a.m., Bonnie J. Sumner, 42, of Kirbyville, was driving a 1999 Jeep Wrangler eastbound at Missouri 76 and Burmingham Road, just east of Forsyth, when Sumner’s vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, according to the patrol’s report. Sumner overcorrected and ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned, the patrol reported.
Sumner and a passenger in her vehicle, 29-year-old Amber M. Summerfield, of Forsyth, both suffered serious injuries in the crash and were transported to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Springfield, the highway patrol has reported.
