Randle COC champion

NIXA — Reeds Spring’s Rusty Randle easily won the boys individual championship at the Central Ozark Conferene Cross Country Meet on Tuesday.

Randle’ time of 16:26 was 12 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.

Branson was second in the team standings. The Pirates had 61 points, while first-place Carthage had 53.

The Pirates’ top finisher was Tag Grisham (17:05), who was 10th. Blake Jones was 13th (17:19), Alex Thornton 16th (17:26), Ryan Caruthers 17th (17:28) and Sean Morton 19th (17:30).

In addition to Randle’s first, Reeds Spring received an 11th-place finish from Aaron Tucker (17:08).

Hollister’s Austin Wenger finished 20th (17:30).
